The Czesky Fousek

The Czesky Fousek originated in Czechoslovakia in the 1800s. The breed was popular up until 1914, but it was only the infusion of German Shorthaired Pointer blood in the 1930s that saved the Czesky Fousek from extinction.

The rough textured coat of this breed varies in length from 1-3 inches and is longest over the back and sides of the body.

The Czesky Fousek needs to be worked and does not take well to being just a house pet.

They should be between 24-26 inches tall and weigh 60-75 pounds.
