Italiaanse Staande Hond
Bracco Italiano

History
This dog is
old Italian of origin. It was used for the bird hunt
and
in the course of the centuries formed and develops further; from
the once common hunt with catch net it adapted to the hunt way with
pistols. Books from the 14. Year one hundred proves unquestionably
its continuing by the centuries through, both which its morphology and
his hunting plants as hunting dog concerns.
Group of 7 hunting dogs section
of 1,1 continental hunting dogs,type:
Braque
|
General
appearance: It is of durable and harmonious figure and a strong
feature. To prefer are dogs with dry members, stepping out muscles
and clear lines, with well modelled head and with clear Ziselierung
underneath the eyes, all typical characteristics, which particularly
mark this race. Important proportions: The fuselage length
corresponds the height or exceeds it easily. The head width
amounts to, with the yoke leg elbow measured, less than the half head
length. Catch and heads are equivalent long.

|

|
Behavior
a
character (nature * Resistantly and for all hunt purposes suitably;
reliably, adding SAM, with more rapidly view and large
adaptability. Head: Sharp-edged and within the range the
yoke leg elbow narrowly; its length corresponds to 4/10 the height
the overall length of the head is halved at the connecting line
between the two internal eye angles. The upper border lines of
catch and head are divergent, which means that the extension of the
upper catch line exactly crosses the head line before the "Hinterhaupthoecker",
in the ideal case in their center.

|

|
Upper
head In the profile the head saw the form of an elbow
opened very far. Regarded from above it forms a be enough-strained
Elipse. At height of the yoke leg bones those amounts to measured
head width at the most the half head length. The front peaks and
the brow elbow are well visible. The front furrow is visible and
ends on half head length. The vertex border is short and little
stepping out, which is "Hinterhaupthoecker" stressed.

|

|
Stop
Little pronouncedly. Face head: The nose sponge is
voluminoes, with large and well opened nostrils. It manages
somewhat over the front "Lefzenlinie" and forms with this an
angle. The color is more or less rosa to meat colors or brown,
with the hair colors agreeing.

|

|
Nose
black either easily curved or straight. Its length
corresponds to the half head length and its height amounts to 4/5 of its
length. From the front seen, the catch sides approach forward one
on the other easily; the catch remains in front quite broadly
nevertheless. The chin is a little visible.

|

|
Lefzen
The upper lefzen are well developed, thin and down-hanging, but
not flabby; within the front range they cover the lower jaw,
laterally overlap them it a little. From the front seen they form
under the nose sponge a turned "V", the lip angle must
pronouncedly, but be not hanging.

|

|
Mouth
teeth
Well suitable tooth elbow straight in the Kiefer standing teeth,
shears conclusion of the frontteeths, pliers conclusion is also
tolerated.
Cheeks *
Drying. Eyes: In halflateral situation, gently and
adding SAM in the expression. They are neither low-lying nor
stepping out. The eyelids are well opened and of oval form. They
are completely because of the eyeball on (neither Entropium nor
Ektropium); the iris is from more or less dark ocher or brown,
depending upon color of the hair dress
.
|

|
Behang
So long that it without pull the front edge of the nose sponge
reached. Its width corresponds at least to its half length; it
is only little put up; rather in the back, relatively narrowly and
at height of the yoke leg line set; one estimates the supple
Behang with clearly inward turned over front edge, which rests
completely against the cheek; the lower Behangende shows an easily
rounded off point. Neck: Strongly set off from the form of a
truncated cone, length at least 2/3 of the head length, well from the
neck. The throat shows an easy Doppelwamme.

|

|
Body
Upper
profile line: The upper line of the trunk is divided into two
sections: first runs in diagonal direction, almost straight from
the widerrist to the eleventh back eddy, the second section forms the
easily convex connection to the croup. Widerrist: Well
stepping out, with well apart-standing shoulder sheet crests.

|

|
Lenden
hip broadly, muscleful briefly and easily curved. Croup
* Long croup (about 1/3 the Widerristhoehe), broadly and well
muscles. The ideal inclination of the basin is with an angle from 30°
to horizontals. Broad basin. Chest: Thorax roomy,
deeply and reaching up to the elbow, not kielfoermig; Ribs
particularly lying in the lower range well curved and diagonally. Lower
profile line and belly: The lower profile nearly is in the range
of the thorax straight and rises in the abdominalen range easily.

|

|
|
Rod
Strongly at the beginning, straight, to taper itself with more
easily tendency, briefly hair. If the dog is in motion,
particularly if it searches it almost or is completely horizontal
carried. It becomes on a length of 15 - 25 cm cut. (in some

Well, drying proportioniert, from appropriate length and easily
diagonally standing. Front paws: Firmly, oval, with well
curved and closely closed-up toes, with strong, well claws curved to the
soil. Their color is white, more or less intensively ochers or
brown depending upon color of the hair dress; Bundle flexibly and
drying. Rear spar and: Thigh: Long, diverging from
above downward not, rear edge nearly straight muscled.

|

|
Shank
Strongly.
Jump joint* Broadly.
Hintermittelfuss

claws; their absence does not represent an error. A double
after claw is tolerated.
Gangwerk
* Extended one and fast trab with strong thrust from the rear spar
and; high-carried head, so that with the hunt the nose lies more
highly than the back line.

|

|
Skin
Resistantly, but flexibly; on the head, at the throat, in
the shoulder caves and at the fuselage lower side more thinly. The
color of the visible mucous membranes must stand in relation to the skin
color, it may however never black marks show. The internal mucous
membranes of the oral cavity are rosa; with knows - brown speckled
dogs are sometimes easily brown or brightly chestnut brown spotted.
