Breed Standard:
The Olde Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a smooth coated dog, standing 14-16 inches at the shoulder and weighing 28-38 lbs. (dogs);
24-34 lbs. (bitches).  His appearance should be that of great strength for his size and although muscular,  should be active and agile.

The temperament of the Olde  Staffordshire Bull Terrier is quiet and gentle by nature, but at the same time demonstrates indomitable courage and tenacity.  He is highly intelligent, protective, trustworthy and a devoted and faithful companion.   One of his outstanding characteristics is that he is  excellent with infants and small children, thus  known as the "nanny" dog  in England where this breed originates.
