History of the Original English Bulldogge The Original English Bulldogge came to North America in 1946 from the island Inchtavannach* in Loch Loman, Scotland, where it had been in the Wilkinson family for generations. It first arrived in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with the Wilkinson family, then, from there to Vancouver Island on the west coast of British Columbia. Unfortunately the records of the dog prior to their arrival in Canada are somewhat sketchy. Since coming to Canada the Wilkinsons have kept control of and maintained the standards of the breed line.
