Victorian Olde English Bulldogge

Victorian Olde English Bulldogge True line from information I have gathered is not too far off of the renaisance bulldogs. The information I posted was to warn people of so called olde english bulldogs trying to be passed of as a true OEB. I have seen a lot of this type of thing done, in fact ran into a breeder that practiced it on numerous occasions and sold them as OEB's for about $900. He mixed his line with boxers, english bulldogs, pitbulls, ect. Their temperments were not all the great, to say the least. So I guess all that I am trying to say is that buyer beware. These dogs are not always what they appear to be. Check pedigree whenever possible. And in response to your comment about me not knowing what I am talking about. I have SEEN this. I KNOW what I am talking about. To put it simply the OEB was created so that anybody today can have a dog that closely resembles the bulldog of old both in looks and ability. No offense but after reading your reply it sounds like maybe you really don't know whole lot about the breed. It's a totally seperate breed from the AKC bulldog not just a healthier version and this breed is no different than any other breed in that it needs a lot of love, socialization and firm training .I personally have no hands on experience with an OEB but I have never read nor heard of the breed being prone to aggressive temperemants. What I have read is that these dogs are extremely loyal and courages dogs that love their families and will protect them at all cost and make great pets. As far as I know there is only one true line of OEB's being the Leavitte line.Another very similar and newer breed is the Renascence bulldog which I think should not go unmentioned .You sort of make it sound like these dogs are just mutts who have been thrown together without much thought and this is totally false.I respect your opinion but I'm just suggesting that maybe you should research a little bit more in depth before commenting. I feel that the Victorian Olde English Bulldogges should not be on this site due to the inbreeding of the entire breed. Everyone who knows anything about the breed knows that it is a mix of English Bulldog and any other big joweled animals, such as Bullmastiff, pitbull, ect. So why do you people make a big deal about wanting a so called healthier version of an English Bulldog when buying one of the Oldes gove you a better chance at getting a dog with a bad temper. Just my views.
